PANOS began work on his summer 2000 collection at this time last year, almost immediately after the last one was publicly unveiled. The collection is inspirational: despite the limitations one might see with swimwear, Panos has been able to innovate every time. Part of this is down to his Greek heritage—but also recognizing that every culture has something to offer.
   When I asked where he sought his inspiration, Panos replied, ‘I think you have to travel to get inspiration to new collections. At least this is how I work and get my new ideas. It is not possible for me to sit still and hope that new trends and influences will come to me. I like movement and dynamism: I think this reflects my personality.’
