Cortana’s design philosophy is about individual freedoms, so wearers are permitted to wear her clothes in unique ways

Cortana’s designs were inspired by the theatre, with her face-painted models wearing shades of black and white. The idea was to force one to admire the feminine, flowing clothes, which partly worked. Cortana’s design philosophy is about individual freedoms, so wearers are permitted to wear her clothes in unique ways.
   What we did like was the way the fabrics—often silks and Lycra—flowed on the catwalk. Cortana understands draping techniques and used them subtly. Lighter shades were in evidence throughout although, once again, black and white were the staple colours for her autumn–winter.
