ITH THE continual proliferation of
high-profile market weeks throughout the global fashion industry,
everyone is vying for their share of attention from the world’s
increasingly exhausted fashion press. But that is simply not the
case with Toronto Fashion Week. Now in its seventh season, TFA
is Canada’s most recognized fashion event, with a wide showcase
of emerging and established design talent from all over Canada.
Through an elaborate series of fashion shows and installations,
the Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC)
designated March 226, 2004 as a celebration of Canadian Chic,
held primarily at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex.
