Naqada by Octavio Carlin
Rich velvets, contrasting colours and long hems were the draw in this collection. They are beautiful on statuesque models, but we're not too sure if the general less vertically inclined crowd coud grasp onto this one. It was a beautiful, almost Grecian-like, in grandeur, but not orginal enough or trashy enough for even the Hollywood élite.

Heike Jarick
A Clockwork Orange was the theme, opening with a silhouette reminiscent of the milk bar meets Charlie's Angels. Though riding pants and derbys were in the collection, the prominent pieces were the red and cream organza dress and red tweed miniskirt and jacket. All very British and all very tailored, this season Jarick presented a classic look that seamed more NY than LA. From daywear to eveningwear, Jarick covered all the bases, though being a bit scattered as far as theme or continuity are concerned. A well received show.
