at the text. BELOW: The Trends
pages are localized but some features familiar to New Zealand and
Australian customers can be found in Lucires Romanian
edition.

HE NAME is familiar, as is the coverbut
examine the headlines a little more closely. The proportions of
this magazine are a little different. Names such as Silvia Serban
and Richard Clayderman suggest this is more European than before.
Lucire launches in Romania on May 17, probably
one of the first times a printed fashion magazine has managed to
spawn an additional edition in a second country so shortly after
its launch in the first. Its also the first time in history
that a web magazine has managed to spin off into two print editions,
anywhere.
For our Romanian readers, please be on the look-out
for us. Because we want to share with you just what many have been
raving about already, since Lucire went from web to print
back in October 2004. Plus, its exclusively in Romanian with
the global features that were renowned for.
With our team in RomaniaMirella and Valentin
Lapusca heading the bureauwere looking forward to your
joining us in what we see as a global movement in fashion. Forget
the 20th centurythe 21st century is about magazines that care
about people, the environment and truth. Lucire has had those
principles since our idealistic début in 1997. In 2005, nothing
has changed.
