BEAUTY trends this coming season focus on the minimal, barely-there look with the key focus on a few essential products to get you glam and on the go this winter. Want the pick-me-up product this season? It’s all about lush, glamorous and seductively long lashes! And no one is a bigger advocate of the power of mascara than make-up mæstro Napoleon Perdis. So get ready for the mascarathon!

Perdis believes that one mascara is never enough in a woman’s make-up bag: women require a wardrobe of different lash enhancing options. He encourages going beyond just one single tube of mascara to achieve different looks and embrace the opportunity of creating effects with varying wand shapes and formulas for lash-loving results.

In the Napoleon Perdis make-up range, there are several mascaras to choose from. I love the Long Black mascara, Madame Beyond from the Peep Show range, and the latest addition, Mesmer-Eyes black mascara.

For lashes with an extra oomph and drama, try the Long Black mascara. This mascara is the ideal choice for a seductive smoky eye done in hues of ash, charcoal and black for a night out in town. It is the blackest of black with a double shot of pigmentation and is water-resistant. The long-lasting formula includes candelilla wax, beeswax and allantion for a smooth and hydrating application on the lashes. The bent wand applicator works as an added lash curler to contour and sculpt beautiful thick lashes.

Want lashes that soar to great new heights? Madame Beyond is your ultimate power tool! This clever formula works to lengthen the shortest of lashes to billowing new proportions with its hourglass wand that extends and adds enhanced volume. This mascara is great to use with a slick of dark eyeliner for a sexy daytime look! Pro tip: add a double coat to the top and bottom lashes to channel a Twiggy-esque wide-eyed innocent look.

Curious to try mascara that Perdis claims is like a ‘miracle bra for your lashes’? Grab the top selling Mesmer-Eyes mascara from the Napoleon range. The two-sided comb is like no other, incorporating one wide side boasting volume and coating lashes with intense colour, while the fine side of the comb brushes out the lashes and any potential clumps while targeting the finest of hairs. The paraben-free concoction includes ultra-hydrating ingredients such as vitamin E and D, while carnauba wax and rice bran wax protects lashes and give a glossy finish.

Wellington Napoleon make-up artist Melissa Jarrett suggests using this mascara as a finishing touch to any look by applying a double coat in a zig-zag motion upwards from the lash line to open up the eyes.

Perdis says, ‘Fluttery will get you everywhere,’ so why not embrace your inner screen siren with come-hither flirtatious, seductive and simple divine lashes! Long luscious lashes are just a flick of a wand away. So go on, you know you want to. •
