A guide to 2017 beauty

Gavée Gold

Tiffany Andersen, holistic heath practitioner, medical æsthetician and founder of Gavée Gold, uses high-end ingredients throughout her skin care line. Purified 24 ct liquid gold serves as the principal ingredient, resulting in beauty products with a delicate and rich texture. The Sun C peptides serum is a boost of vitamin C that penetrates deep within the pores. The serum’s aroma is powerful and it helps repair the skin. The Royal Day and Night Cream leaves the skin glowing as it deeply nourishes and moisturizes. On top of these three, the Heart of Gold Elixir invigorates, restores and revitalizes.

Bulgari

This brand stands out for its haute jewellery pieces; however, it is also a name that embraces a range of fragrances. Rose Goldea is a mélange of musk and rose in one beautifully decorated bottle. The master perfumer, Alberto Morillas, finds a parallel between the classic rose and the Damascena rose, passionately describing the scent’s endeavour as ‘radiant’ and ‘exciting’. While the fragrance is a treat for the senses, it also serves as a fashionable treat for the eye.

Le Métier de Beauté and Clarins

Le Métier de Beauté’s Moisture Matte Lip Crème collection has a range of vivid colours which are long-wearing and moisturize the lips. The lipsticks have a velvety, shimmering finish. Clarins maintains the gorgeous, glamorous lips. The ingredients included in Clarins products are highly natural, including mango oil that gets directly into the lips to nourish and revive. Tender Nude, Soft Plum and Pink Cranberry have personalities of their own whether profoundly red and bold, or subtle and discreet.

Clarins’ facial products

Clarins’ facial oils help to moisturize: the Santal, Lotus and Blue Orchid are used according to one’s skin type. The Santal enriches the pores when dry or extra dry skin is exposed. The Lotus helps combination skin, and the Blue Orchid rejuvenates dehydrated skin. A drop goes a long way to promote healthy-looking skin tone. The new Hydra-Essentiel line promotes a refreshed and rejuvenated feel, with a creamy consistency that shields the skin from pollution while hydrating it.

Ciel Spa by Pearl Wellness

For those who prefer to indulge in a luxurious spa setting, Ciel Spa at SLS Beverly Hills in Los Angeles is the place to be. The renowned French designer and interior decorator, Philipe Starck, created a fresh atmosphere with neutral tones. On the 31st floor, the spa’s name is appropriate as guests linger high in the sky. Since Ciel’s Spa opening in August 2016, the spacious spa, with six suites, uses exclusive Biologique Recherché techniques for its facial services, with top ingredients and a detailed approach to revive and replenish the mind, body and soul. Whether for a beauty treatment, a massage or a facial, the spa stays true to ensuring a luxurious experience.

Kai

Kai by Gaye Straza uses vegan and all-natural ingredients beautifully combined to stimulate the senses. The room-linen spray and the reed diffusers surround the atmosphere with sweet, enticing aromas. The full line includes deodorant, body lotion, hand cream and body butter. The scents are absolutely alluring, reminiscent of a fresh, floral garden, with gardenia its essence. •
