Welcome to our Lucire KSA readers

LIVING Founder and publisher Jack Yan introduces a new print monthly for our readers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Jack Yan is publisher of Lucire.

This may be a familiar cover to those of you who have just seen our latest issue, but there are some subtle differences.

It’s the first issue of Lucire KSA, and I offer a very warm welcome to our readers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Published by Aljawhara Al-Otaishan of Sawahel Aljazeera Publishing Co. in Riyadh, and edited by Qurratulain Wahab, Lucire KSA is a monthly for readers in the Kingdom, with the best articles from Saudi Arabia and our international team distilled into a concentrated format.

As I noted in my welcome in issue 1—and issue 2 has just been ZIPped up ready for print—it has taken me 21 years to find a team that I trust, who have selflessly and unfailingly delivered Lucire’s strongest articles.

And I am thrilled to meet even more wonderful people in the Middle East and North Africa who are now part of an inclusive, global family. My thanks go to Aljawhara, Simon and Qurratulain, and the rest of the team at Sawahel Aljazeera Publishing.

We look forward to being of service to our tens of thousands of new readers, and hope you enjoy what we bring you each month. Marhaban!

Most anniversary issues are nostalgic. This one, the closest to our 20th anniversary, isn’t: we’re preferring to look forward. We ponder whether the influencer has had their day; we talk to Coco Rocha, designer Brooke Da Cruz, and the king of avant-garde hair, Derek Elvy, as his Buoy Salon & Spa turns 30; and we have our “homecomings” to Tahiti and Montréal—though visiting the Moai at Rapa Nui is new. This issue’s all about the next thing that emerges.
