Finishing up summer ’19

BEAUTY For August, we’ve brought together beauty must-haves from three countries, as chosen by Lola Cristall, Meg Hamilton and our team

Making a statement

The new 12-pan eye shadow palettes in the Body Shop collection includes a diverse range of colours which allows the artist to achieve both subtle and bold statements. These beautiful workable pigments include a range of dark and light shades in both shimmer and matte finishes, which can inspire and re-create any mood. If you are looking for a more natural look that can be worked up into something dramatic, Own Your Naturals is the palette for you. This palette includes beautiful nude shades, whereas Paint in Colour includes more of the colourful vibrant shades such as a powerful jade green and a shimmery gold. To own both palettes is to own an overall range of both statement colours and subtle everyday looks, with lasting blend-ability and wear.—Meg Hamilton

Just a Kiss

Victoria’s Secret’s Just a Kiss collection is one of a trio of scents that the brand has launched. This one blends peonies and pink peppercorn, and claims to be an icy, fresh, floral fragrance, available as a limited edition. Victoria’s Secret offers eaux de parfum (both a traditional version and as a rollerball), fragrance mist, or velvet body cream. The mist (2·5 fl oz) is where the line begins at US$15, rising to US$55 for the 1·7 fl oz eau de parfum.

Getting a boost

For that burst of a sleek chic glow, Trilogy (www.trilogyproducts.com) is the one to turn to. The New Zealand-based skin care brand has just launched its vitamin C formulations that include a booster treatment as well as a moisturizing lotion. The innovative products penetrate into the pores, with ingredients that include a mélange of rose hip oil and daisy extract with a refreshing scent of mandarin oil. Trilogy, founded by sisters Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot in the early 2000s, is committed to ensuring a healthy skin care routine. The results are immediate and long-lasting.—Lola Cristall, Paris Editor

Golden

MZ Skin is backed by real science and clinical studies, and its Lift & Lustre serum (£210, 30 ml) hydrates and protects, and can be used under make-up or as a highlighter around the cheekbones. See www.mzskin.com. •
