Antica Farmacista’s inspirational Silver Cedar line

Scents of positivity

BEAUTY Lola Cristall and the Lucire team look at a selection of scents for the summer and the festive season

Another winner from Byredo

Lola Cristall is Paris editor of Lucire.

Make the summer last

We’re big fans of Byredo and this summer, they’ve released their Sundazed eau de parfum. This is a sweet summer scent that aims to recall childhood memories—and that, even when you’re back at work, it’ll take you back into holiday mode. Sundazed has notes of Californian lemon, mandarin orange, neroli, jasmine sambac, white musk, and cotton candy.

Being positive

Niclas and Christine Lydeen’s award-winning Agonist Parfums in Sweden brings a positive and fresh Nordic flavour to the world of scents. Their new Say Yes is a perfect example of the optimism that Swedes often bring. In the words of the Lydeens: ‘We believe that the world needs more hope, happyness, beauty and love. Our Swedish values of transparency, collaboration and equality always push us to explore new ways of adding beauty and power to the world.’ It features top notes of bergamot, hazelnut and dry fig; jasmine, frangipani and vanilla are at the heart, and basenotes are oud, amber and sandalwood. Priced at €125 for the 50 ml parfum. See agonistparfums.com for details.

Forever crystal

Antica Farmacista has come up with splendid scents that embrace a luxuriously cozy feel. Seattle-based owners, Susanne Pruitt and Shelley Callaghan, founded the brand in 2003 to feature more than 20 fragrances from bath and body products to candles and perfume. Antica Farmacista’s Luminoso Decanters are beautiful and traditional pieces with detailed crystal workmanship etched from the very tip of the bottle and throughout. For a more modern creation, the crystal diffusers are gorgeous to flaunt on any mantelpiece or as a simple centrepiece. This creation, which is about 6 in (15 cm) tall, is alluring and eye-catching. Antica Farmacista’s collections are presented in lovely gift boxes for a tastefully extraordinary presentation. Their Silver Cedar line is truly an inspiration of the upcoming season, from the silvery design to the remarkable scent.—Lola Cristall, Paris Editor
