February’s Red month

Filed under: society, culture, living, media, New York, celebrity, fashion, Lucire — Jack Yan @ 2.21

Readers may notice a rise on this site in the number of PSAs for the Heart Truth Campaign, which we are running in association with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in the US. Fashionistas will know the campaign from the Red Dress show that we have regularly covered over the years.
February 1 marks National Wear Red Day, which kicks off American Heart Month. It’s to remind us that heart disease is the number-one killer of women in the US, with one in four women dying of it.
You can help, too. On February 1, the Institute suggests wearing red and posting a photo of you in your outfit to Flickr, tagging it WearRedDay. Be a part this year!
