Claudia Schiffer to front YSL’s spring ’09 campaign

Filed under: Lucire, Zeitgeist, culture, fashion, media, modelling, photography, supermodels — Lucire staff @ 11.15

We’re hearing that Claudia Schiffer will replace Naomi Campbell for Yves Saint Laurent’s spring–summer 2009 campaign. Schiffer has also shot for Dolce & Gabbana and Salvatore Ferragamo for that season.
Women’s Wear Daily reports that the YSL campaign was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadib. Other media will no doubt seize upon the idea that there is a resurgence of the original supermodels—which might beg the question of why so few of the current top models have captured the public’s imagination in the same way.
