Breakfast at Shanti Home

News

December 30, 2008/17.12

While Stanley had grander breakfasts at Shanti Home, I was in a rush one morning. Chef Adil Khan promised he could rustle something up in five minutes and he was true to his word, as the masala omelette and mango juice (left) appeared very rapidly.
During less rushed mornings, the chef and his team would include breads and a lovely fruit platter (below).
As I discovered at Shanti Home, food is never something to stress about. As I told Chef Adil, it is easier to place everything in his hands, and tell him what one is allergic to. Everything that comes from his kitchen is a taste sensation. I have never been more confident to leave a dining decision in anyone else’s hands, family excepted.
