The shots of Miss Universe New Zealand 2009, Katie Taylor, are probably the best I’ve ever seen of her—and I’m pretty sure that Katie herself is thrilled with them, too. My lips are sealed on some of the outfits she will wear at the pageant on Paradise Island in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, but I am encouraging others to vote for her via the Miss Universe site. There’s a voting page there, and since New Zealand doesn’t have the largest population to be able to put the numbers up, I’m hoping my getting word out will help the national cause a bit.
   I am not sure what effect these votes will have, but I reckon there’s nothing to lose in giving Katie as big a boost as we possibly can.
   You have to register to vote. To date I have not been annoyed with any spam from the Miss Universe Organization.
