Thieves make off with NZ$12k of Zum Wohl on the eve of launches

News

September 4, 2009/12.59

We are disappointed to learn that thieves have made off with NZ$12,000 worth of Zum Wohl Schnaps, days before the brand was due to launch in more cities in New Zealand.
Zum Wohl says that the theft will not affect production, but urges anyone with information to come forward either to the company, Aotearoa Distillers, or to the police.
The company would not divulge the location of the bonded warehouse where the missing 240 cases were stored, other than saying it was in the Hutt Valley, in case it would be targeted again.
Lucire attended the Zum Wohl launch last Saturday. Zum Wohl is the brainchild of Ulf Führer (above left) and 42 Below originator Anthony Green.
