Don’t they look sumptuous? Better yet, these 100 per cent cashmere scarves from CocoonU are organically and ethically sourced, with yarn from outer Mongolia. There, because of the colder climates, a higher-quality, lighter yarn is sourced, and the company claims it helps supports the lifestyles of the nomadic herders in outer Mongolia. It also points out that the herders enjoy rights and freedoms not available to those in Red China.
Ella Georgia, a North Yorkshire boutique that opened in July (at 10 Fishergate, Boroughbridge, YO51 9AL), aims to only stock ethical accessories and jewellery, and currently retails the CocoonU range.
