Giorgio Armani has sent us this preview sketch of Cate Blanchett’s cocktail dress that she will wear for the Robin Hood press conference at the Palais de Festival at 12.30 p.m. today at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. It is an ice-pink triple organza lamé Giorgio Armani Privé cocktail dress.
Other celebrities expected to don outfits from the designer at the opening-night ceremony include Kristin Scott Thomas, Russell Crowe, Benicio del Toro and Roberta Armani.
Scott Thomas will wear a Giorgio Armani Privé mermaid style bustier dress, embroidered all over with aurora borealis-coloured dégradé sequins.
Crowe is expected to wear a black one-button shawl collar microfibre Giorgio Armani tuxedo. His wife, Danielle Spencer, will wear a Giorgio Armani Privé white silk plisse halter evening gown. The dress features a low open back and silver and gold Swarovski crystals on the bustier.
Del Toro will wear a one-button peak lapel Giorgio Armani tuxedo.
Roberta Armani, the niece of the designer, will wear a Giorgio Armani blue navy silk cady bustier dress, embroidered on the ruffle.
