The WC, the comedic reality series about British-born Australian fashion designer Wayne Cooper, has won the Next TV award for Branded Entertainment from the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) in Los Angeles.
The series examines what running an international fashion label is really like. It is directed by Kostas Metaxas and produced by Exero HDTV of Australia.
Cooper is a colourful character, having studied law in the UK before realizing that his real passion lay in fashion design.
‘A colourful character, Cooper once derided supermodel Claudia Schiffer for wearing the wrong shoes on one of his catwalks, ripped up a copy of Vogue in front of an audience, and even punched out an event host!’ according to Metaxas in a release.
