Absolut collaborates with New Zealand designers

News

August 6, 2010/6.41

Absolut and fashion has always been a match made in heaven. Known as the fashion-forward brand, Absolut has always been about creativity, innovation and artistic expression.
Having in the past collaborated with some of the best in the business, from Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, Jean-Paul Gaultier to famed photographer Steven Meisel, Absolut is proud this year to be able to support some of our local fashion talent as well.
With New Zealand Fashion Week celebrating its 10th year, Absolut has joined forces with leading, cutting-edge New Zealand designers Adrian Hailwood, Lonely Hearts and Federation to offer one very lucky fashionista the opportunity to collaborate with their designer of choice to create a custom-made, bespoke fashion item of choice.
For those of us who aren’t lucky enough, there are still some great prizes from each designer’s collection also up for grabs as well. Registrations for the competition begin on September 1 at www.absolut.com/nz.
No fashion event is worth its weight in couture without a signature cocktail. Throughout September, Absolut has created three signature designer cocktails, Absolut Hailwood, Absolut Lonely Hearts and Absolut Federation, each inspired by the designers’ collections.
You will find these at participating bars and at the Absolut Studio, a creative space designed specifically to showcase the best of New Zealand fashion, art and music on offer. Absolut Studio will be open to those attending Fashion Week.—Sopheak Seng
