Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4

Peugeot has announced what it calls the first diesel ‘full hybrid’ car, the 3008 Hybrid4 crossover.
To date, production hybrid vehicles have used a petrol engine. By using an already fuel-efficient diesel with 120 kW (163 bhp), the 3008 Hybrid4 manages a combined drive cycle fuel consumption of 3·8 l/100 km (74·4 mpg [Imperial]) and carbon dioxide emissions of 99 g/km.
Being a crossover on the 308 platform, Peugeot is counting on sales from not just the eco-conscious but buyers who want the apparent security and driving position of a taller car.
The 3008 Hybrid4’s four modes include a Zero Emission Vehicle setting, where the diesel engine only kicks in with sustained acceleration. Otherwise, only the 27 kW (37 bhp) electric motor runs.
Right-hand-drive production has not been confirmed, according to Peugeot New Zealand.
