Elisabeth Glaser Foundation holds event for pædiatric Aids at Skylight Soho

Filed by Lucire staff/November 8, 2010/4.37

On Saturday, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation held its 17th annual Kids for Kids Family Carnival at the Skylight Soho, an 18,000 ft² gallery space transformed into a safari by David Stark Design and Production.
Our videos feature celebrity arrivals and general views from the event. We apologize for the pixellation in some of the videos.
The benefit raised funds to combat pædiatric Aids, which had claimed Glaser’s daughter in 1988. Glaser herself was infected with HIV through a blood transfusion in 1981, when blood was not screened for the virus.
Pædiatric Aids is preventable, but the problem lies with communication and education. The Foundation hopes that it will be able to eliminate pædiatric Aids in due course.
