New Zealand Fashion Museum to hold black-themed events

News

February 23, 2011/4.24

The New Zealand Fashion Museum is holding two events with the Black on Fashion exhibition theme, one in Auckland and the other in Wellington.
The Auckland event is hosted by Hotel de Brett on March 15 and features designers Elisabeth Findlay (Zambesi), Beth Ellery, Teresa Hodges (Blak), and Black Magazine founders Grant Fell and Rachel Churchwood. Charlotte Ryan will MC.
The Wellington event on March 21 features guest speakers Alexandra Owen, Rachel Easting and Anjali Stewart (Twenty-Seven Names) and James Dobson (Jimmy D).
Each designer will bring along a significant black garment and will share what makes them passionate about this particular piece and about the colour black.
Only 60 tickets are being offered for each venue at NZ$100 each. They are available from tickets@fashionmuseum.co.nz. Funds raised will help build the NZFM portal, www.fashionmuseum.org.nz.
