Leading celebrity news today: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have headed on to the red carpet to promote Holmes’s mini-series, The Kennedys.
Holmes said she had some concerns when the mini-series was scrapped by the History Channel, but it will now be broadcast on the Reelz Network in the US, followed by BBC2 in the UK.
The actress plays Jacqueline Kennedy in the eight-parter, and the news item below features a very convincing clip of her and Greg Kinnear as JFK, with a trailer below.
And, showing she’s a celebrity of the 2010s, Lady Gaga used Twitter to share a birthday note with her fans.
The singer posted a drawing she drew at a restaurant to commemorate her 25th birthday.
Gaga’s fans, who now number over nine million, used the hashtag, bornthisday (after her song, ‘Born This Way’) to get the event noticed on Twitter, which she later thanked them for.
In other celebrity news courtesy of ITN, one of our favourite actresses, Academy Award nominee Amy Adams, has been cast as Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, alongside Henry Cavill.
Cheryl Cole, meanwhile, finds she has support for the US version of The X Factor from Dermot O’Leary, Sarah Harding and Tom Felton.
