It’s not every day an airline talks about shoes for its cabin crew, but Virgin Atlantic has done just that.
New red shoes will make their début on the airline’s Airbus A330 aircraft operating from Manchester, England to Orlando, Florida, and are now part of the look for female uniformed staff.
There are two styles: Dorothy, a three-inch patent leather shoe; and Dotty, a two-inch design for staff who might find the former less functional over longer spells.
It’s the beginning of greater changes, as Virgin’s Dee Cooper, Director of Product and Service, has said the company has begun to undertake a three-year project to design a new uniform ‘for all Virgin Atlantic uniformed staff worldwide.’
Previously, Virgin Atlantic female staff have worn black shoes to complement the John Rocha-designed uniform.
