Absolut launches its Berri Açaí today (April 4) in New Zealand.
   The new vodka blends açaí, blueberry and pomegranate creating what Absolut New Zealand’s mixologist, Chris Harrop, calls a ‘slightly juicy taste, and a smooth, crisp and berry finish.’
   Absolut introduced Absolut Citron in 1988. On the New Zealand market, Absolut now has a line of seven different flavours in addition to the original vodka.
   Absolut Berri Açaí features a transparent 700ml bottle with a deep-purple berry vine climbing around it. Retail price is NZ$37·99.

Absolut Berri Blues cocktail, suggested by Chris Harrop
45 ml Absolut Berri Açai
30 ml lemon juice
2 tsp caster sugar
Top with soda
Fresh blueberries
Method: build in a tall glass over ice. Stir thoroughly and garnish with fresh blueberries.
