New Zealand Fashion Week is only a little over a month away and the Designer Selection Show (DSS) is one of the most exciting and entertaining fashion shows of the week. Tickets to this once-a-year event are open for booking to the public and this year promises not to disappoint.
The Viaduct Events Centre has taken stage as the glamorous new home of New Zealand Fashion Week and all the stops will be pulled out this year, creating an extraordinary experience. Attendees for the Designer Selection Show (DSS) can arrive early and stop off for a refreshing beverage at the KMS Cutting Room Bar before heading to their seat, to be awed by the biggest show on the NZFW schedule.
The DSS will include fashion looks from every designer that shows as part of the big week, allowing viewers to see all the summer collections from the entire week in one 40-minute show. A bonus sneak preview of the designers’ winter collections will also take place, allowing the viewers to see ahead of time the fashion trends for next winter season.
Production, choreography, models and beauty will also play a significant role in the DSS. Each year, talented producer Marissa Findlay creates this show with the audience in mind, the best soundtrack, make-up, lighting and a few surprises all intended to impress the viewers.
A few side features will also be available to the audience this year. The incredible 2011 Kleenex Cottonelle Couture dresses will be on display as will delightful jewellery by Michael Hill, the latest underwear fashions thanks to Bonds and Jockey, hot new season make-up trends courtesy of Smashbox Cosmetics, and hair by the expert dream team at Servilles.
