Jennifer López to return to American Idol

News

August 11, 2011/19.12

Newly single Jennifer López seems to be moving on from her recent split with Marc Anthony. American Idol’s executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, confirmed to host Ryan Seacrest via a telephone interview that the sexy mother of two will be returning as part of its judging panel.
The show will be going into its eleventh season. According to Rolling Stone, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson will also be on board as the other two judges. It will be exciting to see J. Lo, a talented singer and artist in her own right, return to Idol to wield her influence on who could become America’s newest music star.
With her anticipated salary for the stint running at whopping US$20 million, it is obvious that J. Lo remains in high demand. Though Lopez’s side of the court has yet to comment on the announcement, we can be sure that with her on board, the season will not be lacking in enthusiasm or genuine love of the art.—Sabine Ernest
