Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen hosted the Filmmakers’ Dinner at the Festival de Cannes, with the support of Finch’s Quarterly Review and Mercedes–AMG.
   Among the celebrities at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc were Robert de Niro, Karolína Kurková, Petra Nemcova, Ewan McGregor, Eve Mavrakis, Terry Gilliam, Maggie Weston, Lilly Becker, musician John Helliwell, Ray Liotta, author Paulo Coelho, Aloe Blacc, Jeremy Irons, Karoline Huber, Eric Dane, Gerard Butler, photographer Peter Lindbergh, Tim Jefferies and Charles Finch. IWC boss Georges Kern was among the hosts.
   Gilliam was presented with the Finch’s Quarterly Filmmaker Award and an IWC watch. Publisher Charles Finch noted, ‘For years, Terry Gilliam has given us endless demonstrations of his extraordinary talent for film-making, both behind and in front of the camera. It is an enormous pleasure for me to present him with this award.’
   Blacc gave a private concert at the dinner along with Helliwell, formerly of Supertramp. Afterwards, DJ Jack E from St Tropez performed.
   Meanwhile, spotted on Monday, wearing Montblanc jewellery and watches, were Nastassja Kinski, and, at the Chopard party, Cecile Togny and Alysson Paradis.
