Two of Lucire’s most read-about celebrities, Keira Knightley and Olivia Wilde, have been snapped on both US coasts.
Knightley sported Chanel make-up and a red floral metal headband from the Chanel cruise 2012–13 collection at the Seeking a Friend for the End of the World première in Los Angeles on Monday. She wore a translucent hippie-themed embroidered Valentino dress for the event.
The English actress stars opposite Steve Carell in the new movie.
Wilde, meanwhile, had celebrity hairstylist David Babaii work his magic for her appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Good Morning America, promoting her new film, People Like Us.
Babaii says he recommends taking high-quality vitamins and supplements to help with hair strength and nutrition. For Wilde’s Letterman appearance, he recommended IT&LY Hairfashion’s Advanced Color Protection System to maintain colour. He applied a small amount of his David Babaii Miracle Oil for shine.
‘After rough-drying her hair to create natural lift and volume … I created a side part and took large sections, spraying each one with IT&LY Pure Texture spray for hold and wrapped them around the inside of a large barrel curling iron. For more natural looking waves, I alternated the direction of each section. To finish, I took the fringe and top area lightly twisting and lifting for a modern-day ’40s roll and securing with a large bobby pin. For added hold, I sprayed IT&LY Pure Definition hairspray.’
For Good Morning America, Babaii began with freshly washed hair and a small amount of Miracle Oil, before applying IT&LY Pure Style Mousse and blow-drying with a medium round brush to add lift at the root and add a soft curl to the ends. He created a side-part, allowing the fringe to fall naturally to the side, while bringing the sides to the back and securing with pins for a daytime half-up, half-down look. Again, he finished with IT&LY Pure Definition hairspray.

  1. I really wish Knightley would spend some time *learning* from a makeup artist as she’s had many appearances looking positively cake-faced. I understand that the natural look (shown here) can require something more than minimal applications, but anything bolder, which she has done, doesn’t look quite right for her, IMHO.
