Adrenalina Inc., which trades as ID Perfumes, has teamed up with another recording artist to create a new celebrity fragrance. After creating Purr by Katy Perry, IDP has developed new fragrances for men and women with Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, under his name.
The two fragrances will launch this month at Macy’s and macys.com. They will also launch at Shopper’s Drug Mart in Canada, with other outlets in and outside North America to follow.
In a release, Ilia Lekach, CEO of ID Perfumes, said, ‘Both fragrances were shaped by Adam’s discerning nose, while the bottles and packaging reflect his particular æsthetic sensibilities. This début fragrance collection is everything a signature scent should be: both a portrait and extension of the brand itself. Adam Levine for men and women is confident, deeply seductive, and timeless.’
Levine said, ‘I have been extremely passionate about this fragrance collection from the beginning. I find the things that inspire me in my everyday surroundings and express who I am as a person, which led me to the creative process of developing these scents. My goal was to create a line for men and women that is complex in its notes yet intriguing and invigorating.’
The women’s eau de parfum is a woody scent with a blend of Indian jasmine petals, Australian sandalwood, and rose petals, with creamy vanilla basenotes. The men’s eau de toilette features mandarin, grapefruit, lemongrass, and notes of amber, sandalwood, and cedarwood.
The bottles are styled in the form of a microphone with a silver mesh cap.
The fragrances are available in 1, 1·7 and 3·4 fl oz sizes, retailing at US$35, US$45 and US$65 respectively.
Levine will meet fans at Macy’s Century City on February 7 and Macy’s Herald Square on February 15 to commemorate the launch of the fragrance. He will return to the NBC series The Voice in the spring.
