Showing how Rihanna has impacted on modern culture, Madame Tussauds has released another wax figure of the singer at Sacred Tattoo, a Soho, New York tattoo parlour. It is the eighth one of Rihanna and will be on permanent display at its New York location.
The waxwork is dressed in a costume from Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour, made by designer Adam Selman. It took four months to make with a team of 20.
Madame Tussauds marketing head, Stacy MacGregor, says the latest figure features Rihanna’s latest look. ‘So she’s obviously very new to New York. Very excited to have her. She’s a great addition to the music space and our fans love her,’ she said.
Other Rihanna figures can be seen in Las Vegas, Hollywood, Washington, DC, London, Sydney, Berlin and Wien.
The most recent waxwork released by Madame Tussauds that made the news was of Michael Jackson, commemorating the fourth anniversary of the singer’s death. Three figures of Jackson were released at the Lyric Theatre in June.
