The Festival de Cannes—the Cannes Film Festival—begins today and continues through May 27. We’ll endeavour to bring the latest news, especially the fashion-related items from the red carpet, over this period.
Kicking off proceedings are the Cohen household: Sacha Baron Cohen appeared just under an hour ago at the Carlton Hotel at Cannes, in character as Adm Gen Aladeen, to promote The Dictator. His wife, Isla Fisher, meanwhile, was at a Q&A for Paramount and Dreamworks Animation’s Rise of the Guardians, a three-dimensional computer-animated action-adventure comedy based on William Joyce’s The Guardians of Childhood series.
She was joined by other celebrities who contributed their voices—Alec Baldwin and Chris Pine—as well as director Peter Ramsey at the Palais des Festivals.
Hugh Jackman and Jude Law also star in the film.
