Romantic sheers and lace are the focus of the
winter 2002 collection. Glittery make-up as well as glittery fabric
played a part in the fairy-tale-inspired shoot with celebrity photographer
Michael Thompson.
Its not as obvious as 1999s
Lurex fabric-wise, but the designs are more extravagant. Tunics
feature, while colours range from white to cool pastels in blue
and pink. Darker tones, including wine red, plum and black, appear.
H&M marketing manager Jõrgen Andersson says the trend
toward looser fashion means less demand for push-up bras and G-strings,
while normal bras, vests, bikini briefs and hot pants become more
staple undergarments.
All 14 markets will receive the Thompson-shot
campaign, which will run in November and December 2002.
