2002 Melbourne Fashion Festival took place in Australia’s cultural
capital, between March 17 and 24. Primarily aimed at retail, the
Festival showcased a wide array of both Australian and international
designers.
The week opened with some of Australasia’s most
recognized labels in the L’Oréal Paris Ready to Wear 1 show.
Designers included Collette Dinnigan, Akira Isogawa, Nicola Finetti
and Zambesi. Buyers, photographers and the media flocked to the
event held in the luxurious ballroom of the Regent Plaza.
