How Swede it is: Gudmundsson in a shoot for
Panos Emporio’s further extension into non-swimwear clothing.

Unlike other Panos Emporio faces, such as Frostell,
Victoria Silvstedt and Traci Bingham, Malin Gudmundsson is not an
established name. But she does seem the best choice—the author
had lent a hand to the company in earlier stages in selecting its
new face and can verify that some very high-profile names were considered.
Gudmundsson takes a course in media studies and
has so far appeared in a music video for E-Type (entitled ‘Afrika’),
the Swedish film Klassfesten, and participated in the Miss
Hawaiian Tropic contest. She has personal interests in fashion,
dance, advertising, film and television.
There are reports that the Panos Emporio contract
extends until 2005 and there have been—probably because of
her music video appearance—rumours about labelling her a “Swedish
Jennifer Lopez”.
