sense of personal style that does not need heavy embellishment.

chase labels, either, knowing what she likes at a glance.
We first met Amber not as a beauty queen, but as
a make-up artist: a pamperer rather than a pamperee at the L’Oréal Paris Powder Room during L’Oréal
New Zealand Fashion Week. Some of the
team remember Amber more for her beret, which became a trademark
of sorts for her during the week, as she worked on VIPs
near the Sky Channel 9 set.
By then, she had already represented her country
in Japan and was fulfilling her duties as Miss World New Zealand,
including attending charity functions and shows.
She says she is sometimes recognized by the public
thanks to her win, something which may serve her well as she looks
for the next challenge beyond beauty. In addition, she has made it
on to the A-list in Auckland, featured on occasion in society columns
in The New Zealand Herald.
