Jose Antonio Tenente
CAN a whole collection result from
a simple conversation between friends? Apparently, but only in the
hands of such an important creator as Tenente. As he walked through
an antiques fair with other fashion party-goers, Tenente felt inspired
to use aristocratic opulence and luxury in a decadent, non-royal
type of way.
In this sense, black, gold, camel, moss, acid
green and fuchsia are constants in this collection, whether in accessories
or in fabrics such as cotton, wool, alpacas or velvets.
Luis Buchinho
WHILE others offer a more daring
perspective, Buchinho chose to surrender to his "safer"
side. His inspiration grew from concepts such as familiarity, comfort
and protection.
In an attempt to represent a vague concept such
as "safeness", Buchinho conceived a clothing line that
includes leg-of-mutton sleeves, full-length coats made from heavyweight
wool along with geometrically shaped pieces that are made from leather
and furs.
To give it the final touch, Buchinho applied a
wide range of greys (from vole to lead), complemented by white,
salmon, pink, brown and, obviously, black.
Last but not least, do not miss out on this designer’s
footwear, leather purses and handbags, l’œil motif socks
and tights.
