Due to a scheduling problem, it was actually held the week prior, with a video of the event shown during the regular schedule. Her exquisite collection shone against the backdrop of historic Habitat ’67, the inspired landmark building created by architect Moshe Safdie. The unique structure proved an appropriate setting for a designer with a strong voice and who is a master of structure and proportion herself.
   Her edgy take on spring 2003? How about combining three major trends for spring, sophisticated retro-big screen goddess, sleek modernity and sports styling—in the same garment? Sounds like an impossible, misthought mess. In Saint Pierre’s deft design hand it is utterly fascinating and on the mark. Look for ultra-asymmetrical flouncy flamenco-inspired skirts, with sleek stretch tops. Sheer floating dresses hint of new-romantic, while underneath can be seen hint of bright green or yellow racing stripe.
