‘AUSTRALIAN SWIMWEAR is the best in the world,’ said Jessika Allen, principal design­er of Jets.
   It’s a claim that seems bold until one considers that Jets is the best selling swimwear brand at Harvey Nichols, amongst those that require no marketing in the UK. It’s a strong seller at Lane Crawford and sells into Selfridges, Barneys Japan and Saks Fifth Avenue, plus the US, France, Italy and Spain. And, adds Allen, ‘Australians live in their swimwear. Therefore, the quality, fit and fabric have to be the best.’ She believes that once she secures a convert, the wearer will stay loyal to her.
