BEAUTY Lola Cristall attends launches for La Prairie, Dolce & Gabbana, and Ralph Lauren, while checking out the latest from Rossano Ferretti and St Ives
Lola Cristall is Paris editor of Lucire.
Swiss-based luxury skin care brand, La Prairie, takes the concept of beauty and glowing skin to the next level with their array of scientifically innovative creations. During the brand’s most recent product discovery in New York, held in the cylindrical Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, guests were invited to discover La Prairie’s must-haves while viewing the current Alberto Giacometti exhibition. La Prairie’s hand-picked ingredients intend to regenerate, revive and rejuvenate the skin’s appearance inside and out. Caviar is perceived as a luxury gourmet delicacy; however, since the late 1980s La Prairie has taken the glamorous attributes of caviar extract and added it to their skin care. Skin Caviar Luxe Cream is truly a chef-d’œuvre that has been remastered with Caviar Premier to restore elasticity while firming and deeply toning the skin’s surface for a smooth and lavish skin complexion. Like an artist, such as Giacometti, La Prairie applies thorough skill and extensive time to formulate their skin care collection, which is appropriately perceived as a masterpiece.

Dolce & Gabbana launched their new season’s limited-edition scents evoking a bright summer day on the captivating island of Capri, situated on Italy’s extravagant Golfo di Napoli. The scents beautifully evoke the immaculate Mediterranean landscape. Light Blue Italian Zest eau de toilette is a whiff of stunning and glamorous Italian summers, with fresh notes of Sicilian cedar, Granny Smith apple and a dab of citrusy lemon. A light dab of white rose and ever-so-uplifting jasmine petals, with a base of amber and musk, revive the senses. Light Blue Italian Zest Pour Homme is a lavish concoction of grapefruit, mandarin and a touch of fresh bergamot. To spice things up luxuriously, pepper and juniper build on the overall scent. Rosemary and rosewood, along with incense and musk, as the base notes, boldly uplift the scent. Each combination is reminiscent of the warm season, fresh sun-filled air and beaming rays.
