Lucire | Amber Valletta Ambience (2/3): H&M's underwear collection for winter 1999–2000

WEDEN’S Hennes & Mauritz is betting that underwear for winter 1999–2000, to complement the formal dresses for the “millennium parties”, is simpler, more sensual and comfortable.
The company’s latest collection, modelled here by model Amber Valletta, is inspired by the future. ‘The start of a new millennium calls for a fresh approach,’ says the company, ‘expressing the modern sensuality of today’s self-assured woman.’
This season’s underwear reflects the minimalist partywear for this winter (see ‘Prepare yourself’ here). The colours are subdued, the details simple and the cut and materials sophisticated. Lace has been used for the hot-pants and bandeaus with concealed wires and seams. The bandeau is tipped to be the underwear item for winter, with the fashion toward strapless dresses.
