With all the talk going on about Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway in Love and Other Drugs, it’s easy to overlook Source Code, another film starring the American actor. What caught our eye is the director—Duncan Jones—who gave us the cult science fiction movie, Moon.
Gyllenhaal plays a decorated soldier, Capt Colter Stevens, who wakes up in the body of a stranger. He discovers that he’s part of a government experiment, which allows him to cross over into another person’s identity in the last eight minutes of his life. His mission is to discover who has planted a bomb on a Chicago train in order to prevent a future attack.
Michelle Monaghan plays opposite Gyllenhaal; Source Code also stars Vera Farmiga (The Departed) and Jeffrey Wright (Quantum of Solace, Syriana).
And for the Anne Hathaway fans out there, we have not forgotten you—here is the Love and Other Drugs (Australian) trailer:
