Jean Paul Gaultier’s collaboration with Coca-Cola, shown in Paris on April 13, made its début last week at Harvey Nichols in London.
The designer said that the iconic Coca-Cola bottle reminded him of a woman’s figure and it was an obvious notion to try to dress it. The Gaultier-designed bottles for Diet Coke were initially shown at the Crazy Horse cabaret club.
The bottles have two themes: one with a sexy rock chick look, and the other featuring Gaultier’s Breton stripes.
The Harvey Nichols launch featured two models who sported the same looks, albeit done in body paint.
The live body art installation got plenty of attention, highlighting that the store will be the exclusive retailers of the limited-edition bottles through April.
A third design, called Tattoo, will be launched later in the year.
