The Body Shop releases new oils and revamps body butter

The Body Shop is now selling its new body, hair and face beautifying oils (RRP NZ$30) that help to banish dryness, restore softness and nourish your skin and hair, thanks to the blend of three special lightweight nut oils.
The company has stayed true to its socially responsible roots. The new products feature marula oil, which comes from the marula tree, grown abundantly in Namibia. It is sourced from the Eudafano Women’s Co-operative, which the Body Shop says is helping 5,000 women earn a fair income. ‘The women have set up their factory, which has helped to give them entrepreneurial skills,’ it says.
It also has kukui nut oil, sourced from Hawai‘i, and sweet almond oil, which has concentrated vitamin E. The natural ingredients make up 99·6 per cent of the beauty oils’ make-up.
The Body Shop has also introduced a new-look body butter (RRP NZ$36). It claims that the body butters are among its most famous products, with one tube selling every two seconds. In addition to new photography on the packaging, the container is fully recyclable.—Tania Naidu
