In a repeat of last year’s choice, South African-born model Candice Swanepoel has the first cover of 2014 for Victoria’s Secret Swim catalogues, photographed by Russell James in St Tropez, France.
The catalogue, says Victoria’s Secret, has been inspired by ‘“Angel Journey’s” [sic] to the most glamorous beach destinations in the world.’
The trends in the collection include cut-outs, lace-up details, animal prints, and a return to simple, black-and-white designs. Victoria’s Secret also projects high-waist, frilly styles and long-line bikini tops.
Victoria’s Secret says a video featuring the 2014 trends is up although at the time of writing, only a teaser had been put online (below). The full video will feature Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio and Gracie Carvalho.
The 2014 Swim collection is available via the Victoria’s Secret website, the Victoria’s Secret catalogue, retail stores in the US, and its Ipad and Iphone apps. Online shoppers get a free tote if they spend US$65 online.
