The Casterline Goodman Gallery in Aspen, Colorado, is currently showing an exhibition by the Scots photographer David Yarrow, entitled Aspen. The shoot for the exhibition, which took place on March 17—St Patrick’s Day—features models Alessandra Ambrósio, Brooks Nader, Kate Bock, and Aleska Genesis, along with actor Wes Studi, in snowy scenes around the area.

Yarrow shot at the iconic Woody Creek Tavern and Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, and two of the images make reference to gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson. Thompson had numerous connections to the area, having resided in Woody Creek, and having run for sheriff of Pitkin County, Colorado.

The photographer also alludes to the wild west, through the rustic nature of the locations and his models’ poses.

The series of six photos is being exhibited at the Gallery till September 15, and the images are available on archival pigment print, each in two sizes, in editions of 12 plus three artist’s proofs. In the case of Woody Creek Tavern, 2022 the standard edition is signed, editioned, and dated on the bottom recto.
