In the midst of fashion week in Milano was a VIP preview for Emmy Award-winning director John Maggio’s film, Milano: the Inside Story of Italian Fashion.
Guests included Eva Herzigová, Marisa Berenson, Suzy Menkes and Giorgio Armani himself, who is one of the stars of the film. Maggio was present at the screening, as was co-writer and executive producer Giuseppe Pedersoli.
Sharon Stone, Tom Ford, Samuel L. Jackson, Lauren Hutton, Dame Helen Mirren, Suzy Menkes, and Frances McDormand are among the other A-listers featured.
The film tells the birth of Italian fashion and its growth in the 1980s and 1990s.
Milano was co-produced by Beaver Lake Pictures, Eagle Pictures and 3 Marys Entertainment, in association with Ark Media, and was supported by Intesa Sanpaolo and Campari.
Co-writer and co-producer Alan Friedman said the film took three years to make, and that it contains ‘plenty of revelations involving the house of Gucci and the house of Versace.’
