Designs from the latest collection for Rosa Clará, Dreams
It’s always exciting to see Rosa Clará showcase its collections for the year ahead.
This time, the company, known for its feminine, romantic and elegant wedding gowns, has six ranges: the highly regarded Rosa Clará and Rosa Clará Couture collections, plus the Soft, Bohème, Gatsby and Dreams collections.
Dreams is the latest to join the fray, described as feminine, fresh and sensual, in contrast to the “more is more” philosophy of the other ranges. The new collection shows highly embellished bodices with 3D floral overlays on beaded lace, and nude-effect corsets. It features deep-plunge and sweetheart necklines on mermaid-style dresses, jewel-encrusted or glitter tulle skirts. Rosa Clará introduces a snowflake tulle for a princess look but with less shine.
The Couture collection continues with class, with different versions of floral lace, namely a new rebrodé lace and bejewelled French lace, in princess silhouettes with voluminous skirts, or mermaid-style dresses. The look is cleaner, with stretch crêpe or a new bi-stretch crêpe; the label identifies a sensual boned corset as one of the sexiest pieces with the material.
Taffeta dresses return in the Couture line, along with large organza flowers.
The core Rosa Clará collection includes crêpe dresses with sculptural ruffles, and flowers in the same crêpe fabric as the dresses or in organza. There are new capes and Watteau trains.
The Bohème range focuses on simplicity with exquisite detailing, such as entredeux detail on necklines and cut-out lines. There are muslin silk designs with strapless or deep illusion necklines, and mermaid-style dresses in guipere and beaded lace, and new Georgette capes.
The Soft collection features jewelled bodices, visible boning embroidered with beadwork on corsets, and tulle shirts. Mermaid dresses feature small bows and diamond straps, and crêpe or lace skirts with 3D floral embellishments.
The Gatsby collection also features beadwork and jewelled dresses with mermaid silhouettes, plunging square necklines and subtle transparency. Short dresses feature feathers in a nod to the 1920s’ flapper look.
