What a pleasure to find out about X2 NYC, a brand founded by twins McKinley and McKaelyn Guidry, who both graduated from Parsons. Their label comprises a wide range of designs from eveningwear to luxury ski wear, so for those who want to look good on and off the slopes, X2 has you covered.

We love the nods to the glamour of the 1960s, with oversized ski goggles, headbands, and ski wear that channels 1960s André Courrèges and Bogner. They’ve created a tuxedo catsuit with a bib, and another with rib-knit sleeves. Stripes and volume are back, knitted collars and mid-layers, and big puff bangles—the Guidrys hit the mark in bringing back glamour.

The principle behind the label is to redefine the boundary between sophistication and function, something that they’ve achieved with their wonderful collection. We’ll explore more but for now, we’re thoroughly enjoying the escapism that X2 presents in their designs.
