Essano has released its clinically proven Vitamin C Super Glow range of seven products, using a premium-grade vitamin C (ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate). The active ingredient in some of the range is astaxanthin, which is 6,000 times stronger than regular vitamin C. Teamed up with vitamin C, its benefits are boosted, brightening dull complexions, targeting pigmentation and dark spots, says Essano’s head of innovation Marissa Kan.
The company teamed up with top clinical labs globally to test the products on human skin.
Even though astaxanthin is known for its use in luxury products, Essano brings it in a range priced under NZ$50.
The hero product, Vitamin C Super Serum, helps dark spots fade. Clinical trials showed that 100 per cent of users reported a 28·6 per cent visible dark spot reduction in 28 days.
The range comprises the 15% Advance C+ Super Serum (formulated with astaxanthin, niacinamide, vitamin C and papaya seed oil), vitamin C facial oil, moisturizer, gel cleanser, exfoliating scrub, brightening pads, and micro dart patches. Prices range from NZ$12·99 to NZ$29·99, now available at Woolworths New Zealand, Chemist Warehouse, and online at essano.co.nz.
